Quantum Reflex Analysis (QRA)

What Is Quantum Reflex Analysis?

Quantum Reflex Analysis (QRA) is a structured bioenergetic wellness protocol—a step-by-step method used to assess how specific organs and glands are responding, identify areas that may be under stress, and determine what should be prioritized first.

QRA looks at the body as an interconnected system, recognizing that organs, glands, and body systems influence one another. This allows us to evaluate those relationships while identifying targeted nutritional support based on your individual responses.

The result is a more precise, coordinated approach to supporting the body—focused on what needs attention and in what order.

Arlena Parker, QRA Practitioner with 20+ years of experience in Holistic Wellness field, Los Angeles

How QRA Works

During a QRA session, we work through the body in a specific testing sequence using reflex points—some drawn from principles used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, along with specialized QRA testing points—that are associated within the QRA system with different organs and glands.

As each point is tested, you form a small O-ring with your fingers. I apply controlled pressure to the ring while contacting a specific reflex point and observe whether the ring maintains its resistance or whether the response changes. These responses help identify which areas need further evaluation and guide us through the next steps of the QRA protocol. When an area is identified as a priority, we can then evaluate what nutritional support is indicated based on your individual responses.

Targeted Nutritional Support

Taking high-quality supplements doesn't necessarily mean you're getting the right support, in the right amounts, or in the right combination for your body.

Many nutritional approaches are based on symptoms, general recommendations, or individual supplements believed to be beneficial. Even with muscle testing, a supplement may test well on its own—but QRA takes the assessment further.

QRA evaluates nutritional support within the context of the whole system: how significant that support may be, the amount indicated, whether formulas work synergistically together, and whether another area needs to be supported first.

This matters because a good supplement isn't automatically the right supplement—or the priority—for every person at every stage. For this reason, I primarily work with Premier Research Labs (PRL), the professional nutritional line I have personally used and trusted for years. PRL is the primary line used within my QRA work, and its emphasis on purity, potency, carefully sourced ingredients, rigorous testing, and quality-controlled manufacturing aligns with the standard I want for my clients.

The goal is not simply to take more supplements. It's to create a precise, coordinated nutritional strategy based on what your body is showing it needs now.

Testing for Interference Fields

The Full QRA Assessment

Nutrition is an important part of QRA, but it isn't the whole picture. When the body isn't responding as expected, the QRA protocol allows us to look deeper at other factors that may need to be considered.

Through Four Polarities Testing, QRA evaluates four key areas within its framework:

Structural • EMBEDS • Emotional • Interference Fields

This broader assessment helps us identify what may be affecting the body's response and what needs to be addressed or prioritized before moving forward.

For example, QRA may identify an interference field—an area associated with previous physical trauma such as an injury, surgery, scar, burn, or blunt-force impact. When indicated, these areas may be addressed through the QRA mud-packing protocol known as I-Packing, at the appropriate stage of the process.

This is what makes QRA more comprehensive: we aren't simply asking what nutritional support the body needs—we're also looking at what may be interfering with its ability to respond optimally.

Arlena Parker, QRA Practitioner, guides a client through hands-on Quantum Reflex Analysis testing.

The Mind-Body Connection

At Healing by Releasing, the physical and emotional aspects of wellness are not viewed as separate. What we experience emotionally can influence the nervous system and place ongoing demands on the body.Prolonged stress, trauma, loss, difficult relationships, anxiety, and years of pushing through can affect how we feel both emotionally and physically.

This is where QRA became a natural extension of my work. While we may be addressing emotional patterns, trauma, and nervous system regulation, QRA allows us to also assess where the physical body may need targeted nutritional and wellness support.

Supporting both sides of that relationship creates a more comprehensive approach—because meaningful wellness isn't only about what we process emotionally or what we support physically, but how the two work together

Experience Behind the Practice

My work with QRA is grounded in more than practitioner training. I have personally worked with QRA as part of my own wellness journey for more than 20 years, giving me a long-term perspective on the protocol and the value of a targeted, systematic approach.

Today, as a QRA Practitioner, I bring that experience together with my professional background in mind-body wellness, trauma release, nervous system regulation, and personal development.

This combination allows me to look beyond a single aspect of wellness and work with clients from a broader perspective—bringing physical, nutritional, emotional, and nervous system support into a more integrated approach.

Connections You May Not Expect

“I forgot to tell Arlena about an injury I had years ago, but during my QRA session she actually found the area. Turns out it was connected to another area that had been bothering me. I never would have put the two together, so that was pretty crazy.

I’m looking forward to trying the mud packing soon. The supplements she gave me have also helped calm down a rash I’d had for a couple weeks. Thanks Arlena!”

Connections You May Not Expect

“I recently had my first QRA session with Arlena, and I didn’t know what to expect. As she was testing me and placing little vials of supplements on my body, I can’t tell you how, but I started feeling a surge of energy.

It’s been three weeks, and I have not felt this much energy in years. I also haven’t had a tension headache in three weeks. Looking forward to my next session. Thank you, Arlena!”

Frequently Asked Questions

No. You don’t need to wait until something feels wrong. QRA can be incorporated into a proactive wellness approach to identify areas that may benefit from additional support and determine what should be prioritized at that particular stage.

Muscle testing uses a voluntary muscle response as a feedback system to evaluate how the body responds to specific input. Depending on the method being used, resistance may be applied to an extended arm, another muscle group, or the fingers while the practitioner introduces a specific point, substance, or other test input. The practitioner then observes whether the muscle is able to maintain its position or whether its response changes, producing what is interpreted within muscle testing as a strong or weak response.

There are several forms of muscle testing and different positions that can be used. Within the QRA protocol, we use O-ring testing. The client forms a small ring by connecting two fingers, and controlled pressure is applied to that ring while specific QRA reflex points and other inputs are tested. Changes in the ability to maintain the O-ring provide the feedback used throughout the assessment.

QRA doesn't stop at getting a strong or weak muscle response. The difference is in the protocol behind the testing. O-ring testing is used within a specific, predetermined QRA protocol that determines which reflex points are assessed, the sequence in which they are tested, and how we follow the body's responses from one step to the next.

Rather than randomly testing supplements to see what tests well, QRA allows us to become much more specific—identifying what should be prioritized, which nutritional support is indicated, the amount needed, how formulas work synergistically together, and whether something else needs to be supported first.

The muscle response gives us the feedback. The QRA protocol gives that feedback structure, direction, and purpose.

Quality matters—but even an excellent supplement may not necessarily be the right priority, amount, or combination for you at that time. QRA allows us to evaluate nutritional support more strategically, including how formulas test together and whether something else should be supported first. The goal is not simply better supplements; it is more precise and coordinated supplementation.

Already taking supplements you like? Bring them with you. I’m happy to test what you’re currently using and, when appropriate, see whether it can be a suitable alternative to something I would otherwise recommend. We can’t force a supplement to be the right fit if your body isn’t responding to it that way.

You are never required to purchase supplements from me. Even if you’re not ready to follow the nutritional recommendations, your QRA session can still give you valuable insight into what your body is indicating it needs and what may be a priority.

QRA is, however, a very specific and coordinated protocol. The closer we can follow what your individual testing indicates—including the formulas, amounts, priorities, and combinations—the more closely we can follow the protocol as intended, rather than guessing or randomly choosing supplements on our own.

No. The goal is not to keep you on supplements forever. Supplements are there to supplement—providing targeted nutritional support while we work toward getting your body better supported and functioning more effectively.

Initially, your body may indicate a greater level of nutritional support. As it receives what it needs and your responses begin to change, we reassess and adjust accordingly, reducing or changing support when it is no longer indicated.

Your initial recommendations are not meant to become a permanent regimen. The objective is to give your body the right support at the right time—not keep adding supplements indefinitely. And if the initial amount feels like too much, we can work together to make it manageable while still addressing the priorities identified during your QRA assessment.

Supplements are a tool to support your progress—not something I’m trying to keep you dependent on. The goal is to need less support as your body becomes better supported, not more.

Yes. QRA is designed to complement—not replace—appropriate medical care. QRA does not diagnose medical conditions and is not a substitute for medical evaluation, laboratory testing, diagnosis, or treatment.

If you have an existing diagnosis, recent lab work, or recommendations from your physician or other healthcare provider, bring them with you. I’m happy to review that information as part of understanding the bigger picture and work collaboratively alongside your healthcare team when appropriate.

It doesn’t have to be one or the other. QRA can be used as a complementary part of a broader approach to your wellness.
